Police in Plantation are searching for a man who went missing while running errands last week.

Eric Andrew Smith, 39, was last seen around 12:50 p.m. on Dec. 10 in the area of Southwest 16th Street and Southwest 55th Avenue, Plantation Police said Tuesday.

Smith left home in an Uber to run errands and never returned, and his cellphone was found on the ground in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

Video showed Smith wearing a pink or peach colored polo shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and carrying a black backpack.

Police described Smith as 6-foot tall, 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He also has a scar on his neck.
