Tulane’s season came to an end with a 41-10 loss to Ole Miss in Oxford on Saturday, and with it the Jon Sumrall era in New Orleans.

Sumrall is now officially, only the head coach at Florida, and Will Hall now the head coach at Tulane. Sumrall and Hall have been in constant communication on how their respective staffs will look, and a process that has been in motion behind the scenes over the past few weeks will now become official with the end of Tulane’s season.  “We were pretty upfront with each other from the beginning,” Hall told CBS Sports. “He’s got the bigger budget, so obviously he leads the charge on that. He’s working on ’26 with Florida, I’m working on ’26 with Tulane.

According to multiple reports on Sunday, all three coordinators are expected to join Sumrall on the caravan from New Orleans to Gainesville. Offensive coordinator Joe Craddock will coach quarterbacks at Florida, defensive coordinator Greg Gasparato will coach linebackers, and special teams coordinator Jonathan Galante will continue in that role with the Gators. Sumrall has previously announced the hirings of Buster Faulkner as offensive coordinator, Brad White as defensive coordinator, Dave Caldwell as general manager, and retained Gerald Chatman as defensive line coach and assistant head coach.

With those moves, Hall is promoting co-defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach Tayler Polk to defensive coordinator, while defensive line coach Landius Wilkerson, cornerbacks coach JJ McCleskey, safeties coach Bryan Berezowitz, and nickels coach Brayden Berezowitz are expected to remain in their roles on the Green Wave staff. Running backs coach Brock Hays is also expected to remain in that spot under Hall.
