TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Some Christmas spirit was spread on Sunday evening by Tonie Morgan, a former Florida high standout turned college basketball star for Georgia Tech and now Kentucky. Morgan teamed up with TNL Performing Arts to give back to her Tallahassee community.
During a holiday party, Morgan gifted several local athletes 100-dollar gift cards to Academy Sports. She also donated winter coats to families in need as the weather cools off.
That’s not all the giving back Morgan has planned. In January, through donations from her and Anthony Robinson, Florida High will be receiving a new scorers table for basketball games.
This season for Kentucky, Morgan is leading the nation in assists with 108.
