  • December 22, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A house on Ford Street went up in flames early Monday morning, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.

The incident transpired at about 12:30 a.m. after firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 1200 block of Ford Street, TFD wrote in a press release.

Crews arrived on scene in less than five minutes and found heavy fire in the front of the home, the fire department said.

Moments later, firefighters began to attack the fire with the use of hose lines and “a deck gun to apply large volumes of water,” per the release.

The fire was brought under control shortly after.

Crews confirmed the home was vacant and that no occupants or pets were inside at the time of the incident, according to TFD.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
