ORLANDO, Fla. – In the week before Christmas, another 11 eateries across Central Florida were forced to close after a visit from a health inspector, according to the Florida DBPR.
State records show that the reported eateries experienced violations like improper storage, rodent droppings, small insects and more. But a consistent theme between many of these closures involved cockroaches.
In fact, an inspection of Davenport’s Global Foody Lovers along Davenport Boulevard revealed over 100 roaches, roughly 50 of which were still alive.
However, nearly all of these restaurants were ultimately allowed to reopen upon a follow-up inspection, usually within a day or two.
