Jacksonville native Pat Bryant II recovering after concussion against Jaguars

  • December 23, 2025

Broncos receiver and Jacksonville native Pat Bryant II is recovering after a scary hit late in Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

According to multiple reports, Bryant suffered a concussion and was released from a Denver hospital Sunday night. Bryant’s father, Patrick Sr., posted on Facebook that “Pat is doing fine,” and thanked everyone for their concerns and prayers.

With less than a minute left in the 34-20 loss, Bo Nix tried to find Bryant over the middle. Jaguars defensive back Montaric Brown leveled Bryant on the play and prevented the reception. Bryant stayed down after the hit, and players from both teams assembled around the rookie from the University of Illinois.

The play was a very hard but legal hit, and Brown wasn’t penalized, although the crowd booed heavily. The Broncos took one more snap and let the final 31 seconds run off the clock.

Bryant was a star locally at Atlantic Coast High School and went on to shine at Illinois. He had five catches for 42 yards against Jacksonville. Bryant has 22 catches for 305 yards and a touchdown this season.
