STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — Police say a woman stuffed a $2,900 Pomeranian puppy into her shirt and fled a Stuart pet store, but the getaway was short-lived.
Officers with the Stuart Police Department say they responded to a pet store on December 6 for reports of a $2,900 pomeranian puppy being stolen.
Police say a woman stuck the puppy in her shirt and attempted to make a clean getaway.

But her newfound dog momhood didn’t last long.
Detectives launched an investigation and tracked the dognapper to Polk County, where the suspect, 26-year-old Bobbi Joe Zitko, was taken into custody and booked for a count of grand theft, according to the news release.
