More than a month after a South Florida real estate mogul says thieves broke into his home and stole from him, he says detectives found his stolen Porsche along with other stolen cars.
Bobby Suarez, the man behind Sell to Bobby, says thieves stole his expensive vehicle last month when they broke into his home while he and his family were asleep.
Suarez says investigators found his car and other stolen cars in the backyard of a Miami Gardens home Christmas morning.
The homeowner told NBC6 Thursday that an associate of his left several cars at his home.
“I didn’t know, are you kidding me,” the homeowner said. “I said that’s a nice car man, he said yeah man, I buy cars at auctions and stuff like that, and that’s it.”
He says his associate would ask to leave the cars at his house until he could find somewhere else to put them or sell them.
“I had nothing to do with it. I didn’t bring them over here, I didn’t know they were stolen. They’re friends of mine,” the homeowner said.
The homeowner says law enforcement showed up to his house and removed two to three cars. He says he’s angry at what happened.
“Who wouldn’t be?” he said. “I could’ve got in trouble.”
He’s now trying to move forward and said he’s learned his lesson.
“It won’t happen again, I’ll tell you that,” the homeowner said.
There is no information on any possible arrests at this time.
