Following two roster moves by the Jacksonville Jaguars at cornerback, here is an updated look at the depth chart of that position group.

On Thursday, the Jaguars announced that they had placed Jourdan Lewis on injured reserve with a foot injury.

According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Lewis will undergo surgery and be out for the season.

The injury occurred last week against Denver.

This season, Lewis has held opponents to just 7.6 yards per catch while recording two interceptions and four pass breakups. Most of Lewis’ snaps came from the nickel.

With an open roster spot, the Jaguars bolster their cornerback depth by signing Keith Taylor.

Taylor was a fifth-round draft pick in 2021 by the Carolina Panthers. Over his career, Taylor has appeared in 47 games and made five starts. He most recently played with Atlanta.

Without Lewis, Jarrian Jones will step in at the nickel position. Greg Newsome and Montaric Brown will line up on the outside. Christian Braswell is likely the next man up off the bench if needed.
