It now appears that the mystery project tied to Gideon’s at Disney Springs is moving closer to reality. New window graphics have been installed at the former Art of Shaving storefront, strongly suggesting that a Gideon’s-related concept is indeed on the way.

The windows now feature bold red artwork with raven imagery and Gideon’s-style design elements. On the front doors, text reads: “Pardon Our Appearance. Something New Is Coming Soon.” The visual style closely matches the branding associated with Gideon’s Bakehouse, reinforcing the connection hinted at earlier through permitting.

New Gideon's Concept at Disney Springs

This location sits just a few doors down from the existing Gideon’s Bakehouse, one of the most visited and heavily queued food locations at Disney Springs. The space has been vacant for several months following the closure of Art of Shaving.

Last month, a Notice of Commencement was filed for a “New Tenant Build-Out of Lease Space in Disney Springs,” listing The First Raven LLC as the client. Public records show the company is led by Steve Lewis, the founder of Gideon’s Bakehouse. While neither Disney nor Gideon’s has made an announcement, the newly installed window graphics provide the strongest indication yet that the project is moving forward.

What remains unclear is how this new space will be branded. It has not been confirmed whether this will operate as an extension of the Gideon’s Bakehouse location or as an entirely new concept from the same creative team. The messaging and artwork suggest a close connection, but Disney has not released any details on offerings, timeline, or opening plans.

Gideon’s began in late 2016 at Orlando’s East End Market with one employee and an $800 budget. Its nearly half-pound, small-batch cookies quickly gained international attention, with lines often stretching past an hour as guests waited for limited flavors before sellouts. The Disney Springs location opened in December 2020 and has remained consistently popular ever since.
