Here is a summary of incidents and actions taken by the Key Biscayne Police Department during the period of December 15 to December 21.

These incidents were taken from the department’s logs.

December 15, 2025

Officers responded to the 100 block of Harbor Dr. regarding a medical call. KB-25-1148.

The complainant contacted police from the 200 block of Ocean Lane Dr. regarding an information report. The complainant told police earlier this morning they received a text message from an individual claiming to be with SunPass, requesting a payment. The complainant contacted the unknown individual and, during the conversation, provided the individual with their bank and credit card numbers. They further stated after providing the card information, they received a one-time PIN from their bank account to add the account to Google Pay. At that point, The complainant felt something was wrong and responded to the police station immediately.

Police assisted with canceling both credit cards and requesting replacements. Representatives from both the bank and American Express confirmed no funds had been withdrawn or charged. Both financial institutions also added additional security measures to the accounts for added protection. At this time, no financial loss has been reported. KB-25-1149.

Units responded to the 600 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a dog inside of a vehicle. On arrival, officers did not locate a dog or the vehicle described on the call. The area was canvassed with negative results.

KBPD officers completed a traffic stop at the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. for failure to obey a traffic control device. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued a citation.

Police at the 100 block of Crandon Blvd. conducted a traffic stop for a tint violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

KBPD units were flagged down by a citizen at Knollwood Dr. & Island Dr. regarding a vehicle at the location for an extended period. The citizen further told police a male exited the vehicle and urinated on the ground. Officers activated their lights upon finding the vehicle in question., The vehicle began to drive slowly but eventually stopped. Officers contacted the driver and observed a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the driver. A DUI investigation was conducted, and the driver was taken into custody and transported to TGK Jail for booking. KB-25-1150.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Woodcrest Rd. regarding a noise complaint. Officers contacted the homeowner and advised them of the village noise ordinance. A short time later, police were called again about the noise. The homeowner was issued a written warning.

December 16, 2025

Police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Ocean Lane Dr. regarding a noise complaint. Officers contacted the homeowner and advised them of the village noise ordinance.

KBPD units were dispatched to a business alarm at the 300 block of Crandon Blvd. Officers checked the business and all appeared secure.

Police were dispatched to a residential alarm at the 1000 block of Mariner Dr. Officers contacted the housekeeper, who told police it was accidental. The house appeared secure.

While on patrol, officers at the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. issued a parking citation to a vehicle parked in a no parking area.

Officers completed a traffic stop at Crandon Blvd. & Ocean Lane Dr. for disobeying a traffic control device. Officers spoke with the driver and issued a citation.

Units responded to the 500 block of Warren Ln. regarding an injury to a construction worker. KBFD transported the worker to the hospital. OSHA and Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office were notified of the call. KB-25-1151.

Police officers were dispatched to a business alarm at the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. Officers checked the business and all appeared secure.

KBPD units were dispatched to the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1152.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1153.

Officers completed a traffic stop at Sonesta Dr. & Caribbean Rd. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued a citation.

December 17, 2025

KBPD units completed a traffic stop at the 600 block of Crandon Blvd. for an expired tag. Officers spoke with the driver and issued a citation.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Harbor Dr. regarding a stolen vehicle attempt. The victim told police they were in their bedroom, when they heard a vehicle in front of their house. The victim looked outside and observed an unfamiliar BMW backing into their neighbor’s driveway. The victim shouted at the unknown male, causing them to flee and enter the BMW. Officers canvassed the area with negative results. An LPR search found the vehicle. Miami Dade Sheriff’s Officer Real Time Crime Center was contacted and a BOLO was broadcasted. KBPD Detectives were also notified for the follow-up investigation. KB-25-1154.

Police officers completed a traffic stop at the 500 block of Harbor Dr. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued a citation.

KBPD units were dispatched to a residential alarm at the 700 block of Allendale Rd. Officers contacted the homeowner, who told police it was accidental. All appeared secure.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Allendale Rd. regarding a dog bite incident. Officers contacted the complainant, who told police while walking their two dogs, an aggressive dog ran out from a garage door and attacked their dogs. One dog sustained a cut to their ear, and the second dog ran away. Officers contacted the dog’s owner who bit the dogs. The owner advised police that the dog was up to date on their vaccinations. Animal Control was notified and a report was completed. KB-25-1156.

KBPD officers were contacted from the 400 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a found bank card. Officers placed the card into evidence. KB-25-1155/1157.

The complainant at the 20 block of Grand Bay Estates Circle contacted police regarding a group of juveniles striking their vehicle with eggs. The complainant did not want to press charges. The juveniles were contacted and their parents responded to the scene. Officers documented the incident and provided a case card. KB-25-1158.

Units were dispatched to the 300 block of Woodcrest Rd. regarding a citizen assist. The complainant stated they received two packages that were delivered to his residence via Fedex to a person they do not know and who does not reside with him. As the complainant drove to Fedex to return the packages, they observed via their CCTV, an unknown white male wearing a blue baseball cap, grey t-shirt, black shoes and pants, approach the front of their home. The unknown individual stood in front of the front door looking down at his cellphone, then walked around the sides of the house towards both side yard gates, which were locked. The CCTV footage does not show the individual approach or interact with either gate. The individual proceeded to leave the area in a white SUV parked on the other side of the street. A case card was issued. KB-25-1160.

Police were contacted from the 100 block of Harbor Dr. regarding a golf cart striking a parking pole. A report was completed to document the incident. KB-25-1159.

KBPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Cypress Creek regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1161.

The complainant at the 100 block of Ocean Lane Dr. contacted police and told them she was involved in an argument with her ex-husband because he changed her flight times to accommodate his schedule without her consent. A report was requested and completed. KB-25-1162.

Units were dispatched to the 300 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1163.

December 18, 2025

Police at Fernwood Rd. & W. McIntyre St. stopped a golf cart for running a posted stop sign. Officers spoke with the golf cart operator and issued a citation.

Officers were dispatched to a residential alarm at the 900 block of Harbor Dr. Officers checked the property and all appeared secure.

Units were dispatched to the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a 9-11 hang-up. Officers contacted the manager, who told police they had a disagreement with a client who left prior to police arrival. There was no physical contact.

KBPD officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Cape Florida Dr. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1164.

December 19, 2025

The complainant at the 80 block of W. McIntyre St. contacted police regarding a found smart watch. The watch was placed into evidence at the police department. KB-25-1165.

The complainant at the 90 block of Harbor Dr. contacted police to report an incident that occurred in the church parking lot involving their ex-mother-in-law. They told police they had attended a Christmas activity at their children’s school, where their ex-husband, ex-mother-in-law and ex-sister-in-law were also present. At the conclusion of the event, while walking to their vehicle, the complainant observed their ex-mother-in-law and ex-sister-in-law walking behind them. The complainant reported hearing, “I’m the grandmother. I have a right to see my grandchildren. You’re a thief and you’re going to jail.”

All parties separated and left the area prior to police arrival. Officers were able to locate the other half involved at the son’s residence. After speaking with both parties, it was determined no domestic violence occurred and no further police action was necessary. KB-25-1166.

The victim responded to the police station to report a fraud after they contacted the FBI earlier in the morning. The victim stated they were included in a message from “WhatsApp”, from a company seminar that masqueraded as an innovative investment organization.

The victim was convinced of the company’s alleged validity and transferred approximately $950,000.00 from their Merrill Lynch/ Charles Schwab investment accounts into the “SpeedDiva” account.

The victim remained unaware of what had occurred until they attempted to prepare to file their federal income taxes; the suspect(s) answered that taxes were not necessary since their money was safe. All communication with the suspect(s) was sent through text messages with some contacts linked to Indonesia. KBPD Detectives were notified. KB-25-1167.

Case pulled in error. KB-25-1168.

Units were dispatched to Harbor Dr. & Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1169.

KBPD officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a theft call. Offices learned multiple subjects entered the store and took over $2,900.00 of merchandise without paying for the items. KBPD Detectives were notified and will conduct a follow-up. KB-25-1170.

Officers responded to the police station lobby regarding an information report. The complainant wanted to report an incident that occurred on December 18, 2015, at their home, while they were not present. They told police there is currently a lawsuit against them involving a subcontracted company, Rock & Dirt, which claims they did not receive payment for a job done at their home. The company has hired a lawyer, who attempted to speak with a worker at the site. A report was completed and a case card was provided. KB-25-1171.

December 20, 2025

Units were dispatched to the 500 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a suspicious person. On arrival, officers contacted a male. The male refused to initially answer questions. The male then provided a false name to law enforcement. The male was taken into custody and issued a trespass warning. The male was transported to TGK Jail for booking. KB-25-1172.

Police responded to the 600 block of Ocean Lane Dr. regarding a loud music complaint. Officers contacted the homeowner and advised them of the call. The music was lowered.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm at the 600 block of Curtiswood Dr. Officers contacted the owner and all was secure.

KBPD units were dispatched to a residential alarm at the 700 block of Myrtlewood Ln. Officers checked the property and all appeared secure.

Police responded to the police station regarding a fraud report. The complainant told police over the last week, they have been receiving charges on their bank account they did not make. The complainant was contacted via cell phone by an unknown male. The male claimed they were a representative of PayPal and advised the complainant to return the laptops to an unknown address so that they would receive a refund for the fraudulent charges. The complainant never received a refund and continued to be charged. The charges started on 12/16/25 and went until 12/20/25. A case card was issued. KB-25-1173.

KBPD officers responded to the station regarding an information report. Officers contacted a female who told police they sent money via Zelle to an incorrect person. The amount was $1,200.00. They attempted to contact the person to advise them of the mistake, but the person told them to stop calling them. Officers attempted contact with no success. Officers issued a case card. KB-25-1174.

December 21, 2025

While on patrol, officers at the 200 block of Sunrise Dr. issued a parking citation to a vehicle obstructing the roadway.

Officers completed a traffic stop at Crandon Blvd. & Ocean Lane Dr. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Units responded to a domestic disturbance at the 100 block of E. Enid Dr. Officers spoke with the parties involved and learned the dispute was over a daughter’s cell phone usage. There was no physical violence. A report was completed. KB-25-1175.

Police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-25-1176.
