A 13-year-old girl died on Christmas after being shot by a 15-year-old boy, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The boy was arrested and charged with manslaughter, according to the report.
Deputies were called to the house in the 2200 block of Okada Court in the Pine Hills community at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, where they found Emony Nicole Jackson with a gunshot wound, authorities said.
She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries, according to the report.
The boy approached deputies at the scene and said he accidentally shot the girl, authorities said.
No other information was released by the Sheriff’s office.
