Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a subject who fired multiple shots into a Lauderdale Lakes home on Dec. 10.
At approximately 7:57 a.m. that Wednesday, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting near the 4400 block of Northwest 43rd Court in Lauderdale Lakes. BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, emergency crews learned an unknown individual fired multiple shots into an occupied residence.
Surveillance video of the incident shows a white Mercedes SUV driving past the home several times. Twice, the driver of the vehicle is seen parking the SUV a few doors down from the residence and is then seen running toward the back of the victim’s home. The subject, dressed in all black with a black hoodie covering his head, fires more than two dozen rounds into the residence before getting back into the Mercedes and leaving the scene.
Detectives say no one was seriously injured during the shooting; however, they are urging anyone with information to contact BSO Violent Crimes Det.
