The suspect is charged with grand theft of more than $750 and possession of controlled substance.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A St. Pete man is facing felony charges after an arrest affidavit said he stole a lottery ticket while carrying drugs on him.

Records say St. Pete police officers arrested 61-year-old Norman Isaac after video from around 4:30 p.m. Friday at a store located on 22nd Street South showed him picking up a wallet carrying someone’s license, debit card and $1,000 winning lottery ticket. Store officials reportedly caught him trying to cash the lottery ticket out.

A clerk explained to authorities that it was the same ticket sold to someone two days prior after reviewing the lot number and checking the camera.

Once officers responded to the scene, they discovered Isaac was carrying a gram of crack cocaine and three grams of powder cocaine packaged in six bags, the affidavit reads.

Isaac is charged with grand theft of more than $750 and possession of controlled substance.
