Traffic alert: Part of I-4 eastbound shut down in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – A section of Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando shut down early Monday.

The eastbound lanes are closed near the South Street exit at mile marker 83.

Traffic is backed up all the way to Michigan Street. 

Drivers are urged to use caution and seek an alternate route. 

It’s unclear what caused the road closure, but multiple law enforcement agencies are on the scene.
