Cape Coral welcomes 2026 with the third edition of the New Year’s Eve Celebration & Ball Drop, featuring a street festival that turns downtown into a pedestrian-friendly environment on Southeast 47th Terrace from 6 p.m. to midnight, Southeast 10th Place. The free, all-ages event features live entertainment, food and retail vendors, family-friendly activities, and two ball drops, including a synchronized pyrotechnics display at midnight.

Headlining entertainment includes the Pop 2000 Tour featuring Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO, supported by Deb & the Dynamics and DJ Rifik. The lineup is designed to deliver a high-energy, concert-style experience as the city counts down to the new year.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Pop 2000 Tour as this year’s headliner,” Massoglia said. “This lineup brings high-energy, early-2000s nostalgia to downtown Cape Coral. It’s a fun and engaging choice that appeals to a wide audience, elevating the celebration into a true concert experience as we count down to midnight.”

Safety and accessibility are central to the event’s planning. Road closures will be in effect from noon on New Year’s Eve until 3 a.m. on New Year’s Day, including Southeast 47th Terrace, Southeast 10th Place, and access points near Club Square, ensuring a secure, walkable festival environment.

“The midnight countdown is one of the most anticipated moments of the evening,” Massoglia said. “Attendees can look forward to a synchronized pyrotechnics display paired with the official midnight ball drop to welcome 2026. It’s an exciting, high-energy finale that caps off the night, creating a memorable shared experience for everyone celebrating downtown.”

Across the river, Downtown Fort Myers will host its Downtown Countdown from 6 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. on First Street and Hendry Street with multiple bands, a Fort Myers ball drop, and a midnight fireworks show. Bay Street Yard will offer daytime-to-midnight celebrations with live music, a block party, and a champagne toast for riverfront fireworks viewing.

Additional Cape Coral celebrations include Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina’s 12-hour music bash with no admission, Gather Cape Coral’s dining-and-fireworks evening, Fathoms Cape Coral’s live music and specials, and Dixie Roadhouse’s Nashville-themed New Year’s featuring a midnight ball drop and cash prizes.
