{"id":100041,"date":"2025-12-30T15:11:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T15:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/100041\/"},"modified":"2025-12-30T15:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T15:11:11","slug":"naked-florida-man-robs-meat-market-wearing-nothing-but-a-face-mask","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/100041\/","title":{"rendered":"Naked Florida man robs meat market wearing nothing but a face mask"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This robber is stark-raving mad.<\/p>\n<p>A Florida man is accused of robbing a meat market while butt-naked \u2014 nearing nothing but a face mask, according to cops. <\/p>\n<p>Kobe Watkins, 24, was caught on security camera making off with $1,000 from BJ\u2019s Meat Market in Lake City last Tuesday, completely \u201cnude except for a covering over his face,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=1179440060964467&amp;set=pcb.1179440144297792\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to the Lake City Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The naked grabbed the money from a cash box in the store and fled, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcjb.com\/2025\/12\/29\/naked-man-arrested-robbing-meat-market-lake-city-police-say\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WCJB reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cops say that Watkins was unclothed, but he was not unarmed. Google St View<\/p>\n<p>Police responded the supermarket and, after forming a perimeter, found evidence including clothing and other items believed to be connected to the robbery \u2014 along his suspected route of travel, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Wakins was quickly located and arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody was injured during the bizarre incident, cops confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Watkins was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation before he was booked into the Columbia County Jail.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is charged with armed robbery, exposure of sexual organs, grand theft, and criminal mischief, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIncidents like this are unsettling, but our officers responded quickly, secured the scene, and worked with our partners to identify and arrest the suspect,\u201d LCPD Chief Gerald Butler said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the swift assistance from the Columbia County Sheriff\u2019s Office and the cooperation from the business employees that helped bring this to a safe resolution,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"This robber is stark-raving mad.
