\tCold Night Shelters Activated Dec. 30<\/p>\n
Dec. 30, 2025 – Cold night shelters are open Tuesday, Dec. 30 at multiple locations across St. Pete. The Homeless Leadership Alliance has coordinated with local shelters to ensure that individuals in need have a warm and safe place to sleep. Shelters are activated when the National Weather Service expects a \u201cfeels like\u201d temperature below 40 degrees across the county between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.<\/p>\n
Shelter guests are accepted until the shelter is full.<\/p>\n
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will provide free bus rides to and from cold night shelters from 5 p.m. Tuesday through 7 a.m. Wednesday. Riders must tell PSTA drivers they are going to a Pinellas Cold Night Shelter when boarding to ride fare-free.<\/p>\n

Families with children will be placed in family shelters on cold nights (if space is available). Families should call First Contact at 2-1-1 for information about family shelters in St. Petersburg and Clearwater<\/p>\n
