ST. PETERSBURG \u2014 Cold night shelters are open Tuesday, Dec. 30, at multiple locations across St. Pete. The Homeless Leadership Alliance has coordinated with local shelters to ensure that individuals in need have a warm and safe place to sleep. Shelters are activated when the National Weather Service expects a \u201cfeels like\u201d temperature below 40 degrees across the county between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.<\/p>\n
Shelter guests are accepted until the shelter is full.<\/p>\n
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will provide free bus rides to and from cold night shelters from 5 p.m. Tuesday through 7 a.m. Wednesday. Riders must tell PSTA drivers they are going to a Pinellas Cold Night Shelter when boarding to ride fare-free.<\/p>\n
The following cold weather shelters are available to adult men and women in St. Pete:<\/p>\n
Unitarian Universalist Church

Hours: 6 p.m. \u2013 6 a.m.
Note: This location requires the use of stairs.

Families with children will be placed in family shelters on cold nights (if space is available). Families should call First Contact at 2-1-1 for information about family shelters in St. Petersburg and Clearwater<\/p>\n
