Miami trio accused of zip-tying victims in home invasion robbery <\/p>\n
MIAMI \u2014 Miami police arrested three men accused of a home invasion robbery in the city\u2019s Little Havana neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Officers arrested Augustin Hernandez, 46, Rogelio Espina, 54, and Yoamil Napoles, 50, on Monday.<\/p>\n
Arrest forms say the three men forced their way into a home in the 3100 block of Southwest Eighth Street at around 10 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
The report states, \u201cThe defendants then coerced the victim to open a black safe, which contained approximately $400 in cash.\u201d<\/p>\n
Detectives say a man and a woman were restrained with zip ties and one of them was forced to open a safe. They suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n
Police said the home was ransacked and when officers arrived, the suspects were still inside.<\/p>\n
The men appeared in court with the help of a Spanish translator.<\/p>\n
Two of the three suspects are listed as homeless and the other is unemployed.<\/p>\n
The men were ordered not to have contact with the two victims.<\/p>\n
Local 10 News spoke with one of the victims. She says she is terrified and wants the men to go to prison.<\/p>\n
The suspects are facing charges including battery, home invasion robbery and kidnapping.<\/p>\n
