told WINK-TV.<\/a><\/p>\n“He was down over there at the deep end. And then he moved over. He’s right by the basketball hoop. There he was just kind of hanging out. He kept going to the bottom. Then he was popping his head up,” Emhoff said.<\/p>\n
The Emhoffs called the non-emergency line for Collier County, and a trapper arrived about 10 minutes later.<\/p>\n
The trapper was able to wrangle the alligator, but the reptile did not go quietly.<\/p>\n
“It started hissing, and then he started whipping its tail, and yeah, he wasn’t happy. Definitely wasn’t happy,” Emhoff said.<\/p>\n
The gator was measured at just under 8 feet long.<\/p>\n
Another large alligator caused a scene in Florida on Monday when employees arrived Hendry County State Attorney’s Office and found an alligator blocking the entrance.\n<\/p>\n
