The changes establish annual renewal requirements and strengthen enforcement provisions.<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\">What\u2019s changing January 1<\/p>\n<p>Annual registration and\u00a0renewal\u00a0are now required for all residential rental properties.<br \/>\nNew annual fees:\u00a0$35\u00a0for long-term rentals (more than six months) and\u00a0$350\u00a0for short-term rentals (six months or less).<br \/>\nOnline registrations and renewals will be available through the City\u2019s rental registration portal starting January 1 at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.capecoral.gov\/departments\/city_clerk\/rental_property_registration.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CapeCoral.gov\/RentalRegistration<\/a>.<br \/>\nNew enforcement provisions introduce fines for failing to register, renew, or accurately report rental type.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\">Who must register<\/p>\n<p>All residential rental properties within the city leased to another person or entity, including:<br \/>\nSingle-family homes<br \/>\nDuplexes<br \/>\nMulti-family dwellings<br \/>\nCondominiums<br \/>\nApplies to:<br \/>\nLong-term rentals:\u00a0leased for more than six months<br \/>\nShort-term rentals:\u00a0leased for six months or less<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\">How to register or renew<\/p>\n<p>Starting January 1, visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.capecoral.gov\/departments\/city_clerk\/rental_property_registration.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CapeCoral.gov\/RentalRegistration<\/a>\u00a0to:<br \/>\nAccess the portal to complete new registrations and annual renewals<br \/>\nAccess full program details and payment instructions<br \/>\nRenewal dates are tied to the\u00a0date you last registered, not January 1.<br \/>\nRenewal notices will be sent to the billing contact on file prior to the anniversary date.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<p data-ogsc=\"\">Fines and enforcement established by Resolution 279-25 &amp;
