Jensen Beach<\/a> extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 8-2. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Port St. Lucie Jaguars<\/a> 63-60. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in January.<\/p>\n As for Port St. Lucie, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. While losing is never fun, they can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 459th, while Jensen Beach is ranked 195th).<\/p>\n Despite the loss, Port St. Lucie saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bryan Desgrottes<\/a> dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Sylvain<\/a>, who made all 5 shots he took for 12 points and seven boards.<\/p>\n Jensen Beach has already played their next contest, a 55-47 defeat against Viera on the 22nd. As for Port St. Lucie, they also didn’t take long to hit the court again: they’ve already played their next matchup, a 68-36 victory against Space Coast on the 29th.<\/p>\n
