Katy Perry<\/a> and Orlando Bloom<\/a>\u2019s relationship ended very recently, and though Perry has already moved on with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau<\/a>, the lives of the former couple are still very much intertwined. And they will remain so, no matter how much time has passed. That\u2019s what happens when you have kids together. But how is their relationship right now, and does it affect Perry\u2019s new romance?<\/p>\n

Well, Perry missed Trudeau\u2019s birthday celebrations in this, their first year of being together, to reportedly spend Christmas with Bloom and their daughter, Daisy Dove. According to The Sun<\/a>, the two were seen at London\u2019s Savoy Theatre to watch Paddington The Musical with their daughter Daisy Dove and Bloom\u2019s son, Flynn.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was all happy families between Katy and Orlando at The Savoy,\u201d an onlooker said. \u201cThey were getting on really well for the sake of the family and their kids were being super-cute.\u201d The two also reportedly visited Winter Wonderland with friends.<\/p>\n

Trudeau\u2019s 54th birthday was on Christmas Day. The outlet reported he spent it partying on a yacht with friends, in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

A source close to the ex-couple revealed to People<\/a> that they\u2019re trying hard to keep their co-parenting relationship afloat. \u201cThey\u2019re both super committed to keeping this family dynamic,\u201d the source says, adding that it\u2019s \u201call amicable and pretty easy.\u201d <\/p>\n

They also recognize that their \u201cbusy careers\u201d keeps them in check with a lot of traveling involved, and that it \u201ctakes another kind of commitment.\u201d However, they\u2019re \u201cdoing a great job at figuring it all out\u201d for their little one.<\/p>\n

All of this comes after reports that Trudeau and Perry\u2019s relationship is serious, with their families having already met, according to the National Enquirer<\/a>. The two are \u201ccrazy about each other,\u201d an insider claimed, adding, \u201cThis isn\u2019t a fling.\u201d Trudeau and Perry were first rumored to be dating very soon after Perry announced her split from ex-fianc\u00e9, Bloom<\/a>, in July 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cKaty\u2019s daughter,\u00a0Daisy, has spent time around Justin. And his three kids \u2014\u00a0Xavier,\u00a0Ella-Grace,\u00a0and Hadrien \u2014 have met Katy,\u201d a source shared. \u201cIt was warm. It was easy. The kids clicked instantly.\u201d<\/p>\n

But of course, merging the families completely will still take time, so it makes sense that Perry chose to focus on her daughter during the holidays. And that meant spending time with Bloom. There\u2019s no confirmation of if Trudeau spent time with his own children before he went on to celebrate his birthday. He and his former wife, Sophie Gr\u00e9goire, who split up in 2023, share 3 kids: Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e9goire recently opened up about her ex\u2019s new romance and how she was dealing on the podcast \u201cArlene is Alone,\u201d<\/a> saying, \u201cYou know, we\u2019re human beings and stuff affects us,\u201d adding, \u201cHow you react to stuff is your decision. So, I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also explained that she\u2019s \u201cvery aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers.\u201d But, \u201cwhat I do with it is my decision. The woman I want to become through this is my decision.\u201d<\/p>\n
