Car show to benefit Do Like Raleigh Roo Foundation<\/p>\n

Racers & Rods, Fran Haasch Law and Akin One Productions are presenting the Rods for Roo Custom Car & Truck Sho, Saturday, Jan. 10 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube, 10400 49th Street N., Clearwater.<\/p>\n

Through fundraising events, vet service assistance, assistive devices costs and care packages, the Do Like Raleigh Roo Foundation provides support and financial assistance to animal rescues and families whose animals face physical limitations due to special needs.<\/p>\n

The event will also feature food and drink, local vendors, music and raffles. It is free to attend, and dog and family friendly.<\/p>\n

\nYear-round opportunities at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay<\/p>\n

Celebrating 100 years in the Tampa Bay area in 2026, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay provide high quality out-of-school-time experiences to ensure young people are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrate good character and live a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The organization welcomes volunteers all year-round, including club volunteers who work directly with children, event volunteers and corporate volunteers who support the organization through company-based initiatives.<\/p>\n

Corporate group volunteering includes projects such as Scrub-A-Club, where a group performs small renovation projects such as painting and building furniture; and Adopt-A-Club, where a company can sponsor a holiday party or back-to-school drive.<\/p>\n

\u2018Time Travel\u2019 race volunteers<\/p>\n

Bodies Race Company\u2019s mission is to build healthier, more active communities through fun, accessible and family-friendly race events.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., the organization is hosting a \u201cTime Travel\u201d half marathon at Walsingham Park and is in need of volunteers.<\/p>\n

Roles include handing out water and picking up discarded cups, guiding runners on the right path and cheering them on, photographing special moments and handing out medals and managing the awards table at the finish line.<\/p>\n

All volunteers will receive their choice of a $20 Amazon gift card or two entries to a future Bodies Race.<\/p>\n

Plant trees at Lake Seminole<\/p>\n

Take MAR (Mindful Action for Regeneration) and Pinellas County are hosting a Lake Seminole Reforestation Planting, Saturday, Jan. 24 from 9 until 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

The native tree planting event will support local ecosystems, improve habitat and strengthen the long-term resilience of this important watershed. Guided by experienced staff, volunteers will learn proper planting techniques and ecological best practices while making a tangible impact on the local environment.<\/p>\n

Volunteers should bring a refillable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable layers, a hat and sun protection. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n

Volunteer at Clearwater Marathon<\/p>\n

Dreams2Reality Endeavors is hosting a high-energy water station at the Clearwater Marathon, Sunday, Jan. 26 from 7 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. and are seeking volunteers to help.<\/p>\n

The mission of Dreams2Reality Endeavors is to inspire hope and empower households within underserved communities. The organization provides education, mentoring and support to ensure every individual and family has the foundation to thrive.<\/p>\n

Volunteers will full cups and coolers, cheer on runners and hand out water.\u00a0 Anyone eight or older is welcome to help.<\/p>\n

The water station will be located at 100 16th St., Belleair Beach.<\/p>\n
