{"id":106167,"date":"2026-01-05T12:31:21","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T12:31:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/106167\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T12:31:21","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T12:31:21","slug":"man-pistol-whipped-french-bulldog-stolen-in-miramar-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/106167\/","title":{"rendered":"Man pistol whipped, French bulldog stolen in Miramar, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An investigation is underway in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/miramar-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Miramar<\/a> after police said a man was pistol whipped and had his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/french-bulldog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">French bulldog<\/a> stolen overnight.<\/p>\n<p>Few details have been released, but police said they responded to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/shotspotter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">Shotspotter alert<\/a> indicating possible gunfire in a neighborhood in the 3100 block of Southwest 128th Terrace.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived, they said officers located evidence consistent with the ShotSpotter alert and shell casing were found.<\/p>\n<p>A male victim located at the scene sustained injuries as a result of being pistol whipped, police said.<\/p>\n<p>He was evaluated at the scene and was cleared by Miramar Fire Rescue, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>He remained at the scene and has been cooperating fully with the investigation, police added.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the victim said several people arrived in the area and took his French bulldog.
