Several Florida lawmakers will hold a press conference in Doral on Monday after deposed Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro<\/a>\u00a0was captured by U.S. forces.<\/p>\n

The press conference will be held at Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine at 8552 NW 53rd Street at 9:30 a.m. <\/p>\n

U.S. senators Rick Scott, Ashley Moody and Rep. Carlos Gimenez will be joining the Venezuelan community in Doral to celebrate the latest developments. <\/p>\n

Maduro’s capture happened during the early morning hours on Saturday after the Trump administration<\/a>\u00a0launched a major military attack on\u00a0Venezuela<\/a>. <\/p>\n

After Maduro and his wife, first lady Cilia Flores, were captured, they were indicted in the U.S.<\/a>\u00a0for alleged narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy and weapons offenses.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Maduro and his wife arrived at a New York courthouse <\/a>for their first appearance in the case. <\/p>\n

There has been a wide range of reactions<\/a> after the operation in Venezuela, where lawmakers have expressed their support as well as their concerns towards the Trump administration’s actions. <\/p>\n
