{"id":106519,"date":"2026-01-05T18:18:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T18:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/106519\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T18:18:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T18:18:10","slug":"fire-hydrant-testing-underway-in-winter-springs-wftv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/106519\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire hydrant testing underway in Winter Springs \u2013 WFTV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. \u2014 Winter Springs residents might notice some extra activity in their neighborhoods in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Starting Monday, officials said contractors will be out and about to inspect all 1200 of the city\u2019s fire hydrants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Crews will be opening every hydrant to ensure it is working properly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Tests will be performed weekdays from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Customers are advised to minimize water usage while testing is being done near their homes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">They might also notice discolored tap water following testing.
