<\/p>\nTwo Hialeah men are facing charges in connection with multiple vehicle thefts after a Ferrari and Rolls Royce were stolen from a Miami Beach condominium building, police said.<\/p>\n
Roberto Macaya-Gonzalez, 36, was arrested Friday on charges including grand theft, burglary of an occupied structure, grand theft of a vehicle, attempted grand theft of a vehicle, fleeing and eluding a police officer, dealing in stolen property, and criminal mischief, records showed.<\/p>\n
Maykel Alvarez, 46, was arrested Saturday on charges including grand theft, burglary of an occupied structure, grand theft of a vehicle, attempted grand theft of a vehicle, criminal mischief, dealing in stolen property and knowingly driving with a suspended license, records showed.<\/p>\n

According to arrest reports, shortly after 1 a.m. on Jan. 1, officers responded to 100 South Pointe Drive in Miami Beach regarding multiple stolen vehicles.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video showed suspects arriving in blue Hyundai and entering the property through a gate, and the Hyundai was seen dropping off a male next to a white Ferrari that was stolen.<\/p>\n
The Hyundai had also been seen dropping off a subject next to a black Rolls Royce Phantom that was also stolen from the property.<\/p>\n
On the morning of Jan. 2, a detective found the stolen Ferrari in the 6300 block of Northwest 31st Court in Miami, and the detective watched as a white transit van pulled up and a man got out and got into the Ferrari, the reports said.<\/p>\n
The detective stopped the Ferrari and approached with his weapon drawn but the Ferrari fled.<\/p>\n
A “be on the lookout” issued and the Ferrari was later found dumped in the area of Northwest 36th Avenue and Northwest 50th Street.<\/p>\n
The blue Hyundai was also found in Hialeah and the occupants were detained.<\/p>\n
A person later told detectives a family member told him to pick up Macaya-Gonzalez from the area where the Ferrari was dumped, the reports said.<\/p>\n
The reports said Macaya-Gonzalez had been concealing himself in a portable bathroom while waiting to be picked up.<\/p>\n
Across from Macaya-Gonzalez’s home, detectives found the stolen Rolls Royce, the reports said.<\/p>\n
Detectives also found the transit van being driven by Alvarez and discovered the van had been reported stolen, the reports said.<\/p>\n
Investigators also said that on Jan. 2 at 100 South Pointe Drive, Macaya-Gonzalez tried to drive a Range Rover out of the garage, then got out and got into a Cadillac Escalade, the reports said.<\/p>\n
Both vehicles were found in random parking spaces in the garage.<\/p>\n
In addition, three males had tried to steal a motorcycle from a building in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue early on Jan. 1, cutting the motorcycle’s chain and damaging its handlebars and ignition switch.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video showed the suspect trying to load the motorcycle into a white van but abandoning it when they were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
The van was the same one that Alvarez was driving, the reports said.<\/p>\n
Macaya-Gonzalez is also facing charges in connection with the theft of a white Genesis GV70, the reports said.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Hialeah Police spotted the vehicle early on Dec. 17 and an officer tried to stop it but the driver fled.<\/p>\n
The officer disengaged and later found the vehicle crashed and abandoned at 591 East 30th Street.<\/p>\n
According to the reports, officer identified the driver as Macaya-Gonzalez, who has 15 license suspensions and had his license revoked on April 30.<\/p>\n
Mayaca-Gonzalez is also on drug offender probation until 2030 and on a detainer to be removed from the U.S., the reports said.<\/p>\n
Both men were booked into jail.
