Board expansion strengthens resident representation to reflect Downtown Miami\u2019s evolution into a thriving urban neighborhood<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Miami Downtown Development Authority<\/a>\u00a0(Miami DDA) is now accepting applications for three resident positions on its Board of Directors. The open positions include one Brickell resident, one Arts & Entertainment District resident, and one at-large resident who may live anywhere within the Miami DDA district boundaries. The expansion reflects Downtown Miami\u2019s continued evolution into a vibrant, growing residential urban neighborhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cDowntown Miami has changed dramatically in recent years, with more people choosing to live, work, and raise families here than ever before,\u201d said City of Miami Commissioner Ralph Rosado, Chairman of the Miami DDA. \u201cAs Downtown Miami evolves, it\u2019s essential that more of the people who call it home have a seat at the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two of the open positions are newly created seats added through a recent amendment to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Miami. The Board of Directors now consists of 17 members, three public sector appointees and 14 individuals who either own property, reside or work in the district, all of whom are dedicated to supporting the economic development of Downtown Miami.<\/p>\n

Interested applicants must submit a letter of interest and r\u00e9sum\u00e9 by January 16, 2026. Submissions may be mailed to Miami DDA Nominating Committee, 201 S. Biscayne Blvd.,\u00a0#2600, Miami, FL 33131\u00a0or emailed to\u00a0manon@miamidda.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
