Smiths singer Morrissey<\/a> has canceled his first concerts of 2026<\/a>, blaming an \u201cadverse reaction\u201d to \u201cprescription medication,\u201d but his January show in St. Petersburg is still on\u2026 for now.<\/p>\n

Morrissey\u2019s Tampa Bay show is the second-to-last stop on his current wintertime run through the U.S. and is set for Tuesday, Jan. 20 at Mahaffey Theater. Unironically, it is a rescheduled date<\/a> that was supposed to happen last May.<\/p>\n

The question remains for many Tampa Bay fans whether the British crooner will postpone or cancel yet again for a city that seems to have undying\u2014yet unrequited\u2014love for his melodramatic ballads.<\/p>\n

The 66-year-old\u2019s first shows of the year were supposed to happen on the west coast, but the new cancellations follow Morrissey scrapping the remainder of his 2025 dates in November due to \u201cextreme exhaustion.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

San Antonio is next on the tour after the back-to-back cancellations. That is, if Morrissey shows up.<\/p>\n

If not, it will mark the fifth time in a row that \u201cthis charming man\u201d has stood up the Alamo City. Will Florida\u2014where Morrissey is also supposed to play Hollywood\u2019s Hard Rock Live on Jan. 22\u2014get let down again?<\/p>\n

Tickets to see Morrissey play Duke Energy Center at Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, Jan. 20 are still available and start at $184.<\/a><\/p>\n
