These qualities will be showcased brilliantly in their performance of Sibelius\u2019 grand and luminous Symphony No. 2. With its gorgeous melodies, luxurious harmonies and a finale that is pure joy, it\u2019s easy to see why the Second Symphony has become one of the composer\u2019s most celebrated works.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Joining them on the first half of the program is the enormously popular Ray Chen, who is known to play a \u201cvirtuoso lick with a rock \u2019n\u2019 roll stance, making it look mighty cool to be a violinist\u201d (Violinist.com). He\u2019s sure to be the coolest dude in the room when he takes on Tchaikovsky\u2019s sweeping, melodious and virtuosic Violin Concerto, an undisputed crown jewel of the repertory.
