A woman was detained after a man was shot at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday morning during a possible domestic violence incident, police said.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened shortly before 10 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel at 6550 North Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale Police said.<\/p>\n
When officers responded, they found the man had been shot in the upper body area, officials said.<\/p>\n
He was taken as a trauma alert to Broward General Hospital. His name and exact condition weren’t released.<\/p>\n
Police said the adult female shooter was contacted and detained. Video showed officers placing her in the back of a police car for questioning.<\/p>\n
A preliminary investigation showed the incident was a possible domestic violence case, but detectives are still investigating, officials said.<\/p>\n
