BayCare<\/a> has unveiled new renderings for Pagidipati Children\u2019s Hospital at St. Joseph\u2019s, a freestanding pediatric hospital scheduled to open in 2030.<\/p>\n

The facility will replace the existing St. Joseph\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital campus, which is already the largest provider of pediatric care in Tampa Bay. <\/p>\n

BayCare<\/a> said the new hospital is part of its long-term strategy to expand access to specialized children\u2019s health services across West Central Florida.<\/p>\n

\u201cPagidipati Children\u2019s Hospital at St. Joseph\u2019s will transform pediatric health care across our region,\u201d said BayCare President and CEO Stephanie Conners. \u201cIt builds on a trusted legacy and ensures families can receive the highest quality care for generations right here in our backyard.\u201d<\/p>\n

BayCare Kids and St. Joseph\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital currently provide inpatient and outpatient care to thousands of children each year. <\/p>\n

The new hospital is designed to grow those services in a purpose-built environment focused entirely on pediatric patients and their families.<\/p>\n

Designed around children and families<\/p>\n

BayCare worked with architects at Page, now Stantec, to design a hospital that puts the patient experience first.<\/p>\n

Renderings show a bold multi color exterior with lighting that changes with seasons and holidays.<\/p>\n

Inside, the hospital is planned to feel welcoming rather than institutional. <\/p>\n

BayCare said the design will include intuitive wayfinding, family friendly common areas and spaces intended to reduce stress and support healing.<\/p>\n

Philanthropy drives the project forward<\/p>\n

The hospital will be named Pagidipati Children\u2019s Hospital at St. Joseph\u2019s following a $50M gift from the Pagidipati family of Tampa. <\/p>\n

BayCare said the donation is one of the largest in Tampa Bay history and was recognized as one of the largest charitable gifts made in the U.S. in 2024.<\/p>\n

St. Joseph\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital Foundation is partnering with the Pagidipati family and other local philanthropists to accelerate the project and support innovation in pediatric care.<\/p>\n
