TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A young man is hospitalized with injuries after a shooting outside of the Wilson Green neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Leon County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
LCSO said the shooting happened near the south Tallahassee neighborhood, and \u201cthen traveled to the Ridge Haven area.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shonda Knight, LCSO\u2019s Executive Director of Community and Media Relations, said the deputies responded to the scene just after 4 p.m..<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is my understanding that the victim himself may have made the phone call to 911, and so we are trying to learn more about what led up to the incident,\u201d Knight said. <\/p>\n
Deputies are still searching for the shooting suspect. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an active and ongoing investigation,\u201d Knight said. \u201cOur deputies have been on scene since the initial phone call. They are still around the area. Our investigators are here gathering more details and as we learn more, we will get that information to the public.\u201d<\/p>\n
