FORT MYERS BEACH – Joe Salvaggio has opened his doors to WINK News many times, sharing his journey after Hurricane Ian.<\/p>\n
In 2023, his home was a trailer parked outside his house, as he awaited renovations he paid ENBS Painting and More to complete.<\/p>\n
“I want to die. I am without hope. Now I’m old. I’m 84 years old and I have nothing to look forward to,” said Salvaggio.<\/p>\n
WINK Investigates looked into a contractor dispute where Salvaggio claimed he paid for repairs that were never finished.<\/p>\n
Today, WINK News reporter Haley Zarcone sat down with Salvaggio to discuss new paperwork from the Lee County Court.<\/p>\n
A warrant has been issued for the owners of ENBS Painting and More, demanding they show what happened to Salvaggio’s money.<\/p>\n
Salvaggio, a longtime poker player, shared that his poker relic is one of the few things that survived Hurricane Ian.<\/p>\n
He wants ENBS Painting and More to reveal their financial dealings.<\/p>\n
“Mr. Beebe started off three years ago promising me he’d give me my money back,” said Salvaggio. “A trail of the whole situation and he never produced it.”<\/p>\n
A Lee County judge is now asking for that paper trail.<\/p>\n
The warrant demands Edward and Nadine Beebe, the owners of ENBS Painting and More, to provide documentation showing what happened to Salvaggio’s $40,000.<\/p>\n
Sitting at his kitchen table, Salvaggio expressed hope that his story will make others cautious about who they hire for home repairs.<\/p>\n
“I unfortunately have a very, very low income, so I know how every penny counts,” said Salvaggio. “There’s too many people out there like me, too many seniors that can’t afford this kind of a situation. It’s just terrible.”<\/p>\n
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Salvaggio’s lawyer confirmed the warrants have not yet been served.<\/p>\n
