{"id":108675,"date":"2026-01-07T05:22:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T05:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/108675\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T05:22:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T05:22:24","slug":"jacksonville-mother-arrested-following-investigation-into-childs-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/108675\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacksonville mother arrested following investigation into child&#8217;s death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/holderness-1024x576.png\" class=\"wp-image-4013417 attachment-large size-large wp-post-image\" alt=\"Holderness\"  \/>Elizabeth Holderness (Photo: Onslow County Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/p>\n<p>JACKSONVILLE, NC (WWAY) \u2014 A 30-year-old mother has been arrested by the Onslow County Sheriff\u2019s Office after her 16-month-old son was found dead.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth Holderness of Jacksonville turned herself in to the Onslow County Sheriff\u2019s Office on Monday after the investigation into the death determined negligence from the mother was a contributing factor into the boy\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>Around 4:30 p.m. on December 11th, 2025, deputies responded to a 911 call about a missing child on Old Timber Road in Jacksonville.
