His November talk and on-the-water safety training drew strong participation. The January presentation will be followed by a two-day free safety training session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPaddlers are really enjoying Don\u2019s talks and then getting on the water together,\u201d said Calusa Blueway Coordinator Mike Hammond of Lee County Parks &amp; Recreation. \u201cThis talk will be followed up by a safety class, a kayak camping class and camping opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming programs:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022  Kayaking the Everglades: Jan. 6, Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center. No registration required.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022  Free two-day on-the-water safety class: Jan. 17-18, San Carlos Bay\/Bunche Beach Preserve. Registration is required.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022  Kayak camping course: 6-8 p.m. Jan. 20, Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center.
