Despite what you may have read, including right here in this very publication, Broken Strings Brewery & Taproom is very much open for business.<\/p>\n

Yes, we messed that one up. And we weren\u2019t alone! Broken Strings did close briefly in early 2025, and the former owner\u2019s heartfelt announcement<\/a> of the closure got a lot of attention from local media outlets. It then reopened under new local ownership in February, and new management spent a few months doing repairs, picking up brewing again in June. <\/p>\n

But that short hiatus landed it on the \u201cbars and restaurants that closed in 2025\u201d list, a distinction it technically earned, if only for a moment. What didn\u2019t happen is, we didn\u2019t report that it reopened \u2026 until now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Under the stewardship of Darryl Richardson, Brad Pascarella, and Clint Oldenburg, the team behind Longwood\u2019s Three Odd Guys Brewing, Broken Strings is leaning into what it does best: being a welcoming, come-as-you-are neighborhood hangout in the heart of Parramore.<\/p>\n

Located at 1012 W. Church St. between Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium, the brewery sits in the middle of Orlando\u2019s sports, nightlife, and event corridor.<\/p>\n

Richardson (aka DJ Drizzy), is a longtime DJ, and his love of electronic music has found its way into the taproom and beyond. In addition to rotating craft beers, Broken Strings has been hosting specialty nights (always changing), including open-deck nights (yes, DJs, you can come take over his pro-level equipment and play your heart out!), as well as larger events, including DJ mini-fests, live bands, and parking-lot events that feel more block party than brewery.<\/p>\n

The space is family-friendly, community-focused, and intentionally inclusive \u2014 whether you\u2019re stopping in before a match, after a show, or just because you heard that it\u2019s open.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve always loved that old pub sense of camaraderie,\u201d says Pascarella. \u201cThere should be a place where you can show up however you\u2019re feeling. No pretense required.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richardson, who also serves as head brewer, puts it more simply: The goal is beer that \u201ctastes like joy in a glass.\u201d<\/p>\n
