Jason Baker, who had served as Vice President of the organization under Bello, is <a href=\"https:\/\/tbbwmag.com\/meet-the-team\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">now listed<\/a> as president and publisher, Bello\u2019s former title.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sources familiar with Bello\u2019s firing didn\u2019t offer specific grievances, but said staff turnover had been an issue and trouble had been brewing for a while.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bello previously served as publisher for the Tampa Bay Business Journal, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/business\/corporate\/Tampa-Bay-Business-Journal-s-Bridgette-Bello-to-step-down-in-January_163792869\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">stepped down<\/a> in 2018 before assuming leadership of and establishing TBBW.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">TBBW publishes a monthly magazine featuring C-suite business leaders throughout the region, and regularly hosts networking functions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer nofollow\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-709850 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Florida-Politics_728x100-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bello began her career as an account executive with a family of radio stations in 1995 after graduating with a bachelor\u2019s degree in journalism from the University of Florida, according to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/bridgette-bello-tampabay\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">LinkedIn bio<\/a>. She began work with American City Business Journals, the parent company of the Tampa Bay Business Journal, as director of advertising in 1999, and was later promoted to publisher of the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2007.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Baker, who is now leading TBBW, left the Tampa Bay Business Journal shortly after Bello to join her in the new TBBW venture. He had served as Vice President of Sales for the business journal before launching TBBW with Bello. Baker also serves on the board of directors for Leadership Tampa Bay and Children\u2019s Home Services, and is a member of the University of Tampa Board of Fellows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bello\u2019s departure from TBBW follows the resignation of the publication\u2019s former managing editor, Jolynn Brown, who also left the business journal to join Bello at TBBW.
