ST. LUCIE COUNTY \u2013 The St. Lucie County Human Services Division is offering utility assistance to help households with residents 67 and older on a fixed income.<\/p>\n
Applicants must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Eligibility documents are required. Households must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must be a St. Lucie County resident.<\/p>\n
\u2022 All household members must be 67 and older.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Sole income must be SS\/SSI\/SSDI\/retirement.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must not have any employment income.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Utility bill must be in the applicant\u2019s name.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Applicants must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.<\/p>\n
Income eligibility is based on household size, with limits increasing as the number of people in a household grows. For a one-person household, the income limit is $31,300. The limit rises to $42,300 for a household of two and $53,300 for three people. Households of four may earn up to $64,300, while those with five members have an income cap of $75,300.
