ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014 Florida\u2019s Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia announced that the Florida Agency for Fiscal Oversight (F-A-F-O) will investigate school boards to identify wasteful spending of tax dollars.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to hold school boards accountable for what Ingoglia described as \u201cexcessive and wasteful spending.\u201d <\/p>\n

The decision comes amid ongoing scrutiny of budgetary practices within Florida\u2019s educational institutions.<\/p>\n

Ingoglia emphasized the need for accountability in his statement, saying, \u201cSchool boards should not be given a \u201cfree pass\u201d for their excessive and wasteful spending of your tax dollars.\u201d <\/p>\n

In his announcement, he posed a rhetorical question to underline the seriousness of the oversight: \u201cWhich school board should we F-A-F-O first?\u201d <\/p>\n
