The Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife invites the public to attend its monthly meeting Tuesday, Jan. 13, at\u00a0Rotary Park, 5505 Rose Garden Road, Cape Coral. The evening begins with networking, followed by an educational presentation and the organization\u2019s general business meeting.<\/p>\n
Doors will open at\u00a06:30 p.m.\u00a0for networking and informal conversation. The featured presentation will begin at\u00a07 p.m., followed by the CCFW general meeting.<\/p>\n
The presentation,\u00a0\u201cPollution and Pragmatism: The Caloosahatchee Watershed,\u201d\u00a0will be delivered by\u00a0Matt DePaolis, environmental policy director for the\u00a0Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation. DePaolis will explore the physical and legal threats impacting the Caloosahatchee watershed, as well as practical tools and solutions to protect local water quality.<\/p>\n
As SCCF\u2019s environmental policy director, DePaolis brings a unique combination of expertise in environmental law and marine biology, translating cutting-edge science into effective policy through advocacy to protect Southwest Florida\u2019s waters and wildlife.<\/p>\n
