A waterfront Florida mansion with a private dock that can accommodate a 135-foot yacht is headed to auction next month with a reserve of $7 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Located on Isles of Capri on Treasure Island, Florida\u2014a barrier island about 9 miles west of St. Petersburg\u2014the nearly 6,500-square-foot residence was built to withstand any kind of weather, including a Category 5 hurricane, according to Misha Haghani, founder and CEO of Paramount Realty USA, which is handling the auction.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re familiar with the Man of Steel, Superman. This is the \u2018house of steel,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cThe house was built with three layers of glass with Kevlar in between. It\u2019s blastproof. All of the floors are poured solid concrete.\u201d<\/p>\n
Designed with multiple curving balconies and a circular roof deck, the home also offers water views from most rooms and direct access to the Gulf via the Boca Ciega Bay, part of the Intracoastal Waterway, Haghani noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s on a corner which, when you\u2019re dealing with water, is highly coveted because you have more degrees of water, more frontage and much better views,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The residence originally hit the market in April 2025 for $11.5 million with Peter Nemethy of Re\/Max Metro, who is also the owner, according to listing records. After more than a dozen incremental price cuts over the year, Paramount was called in to host the auction to let buyers bid on the price and to streamline the selling process.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nemethy bought the property with his wife, Dawn, in 2007 for $1.2 million, according to records with PropertyShark. He did not immediately respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Because of the water views, Haghani noted, the house is \u201ca little bit like a cruise ship because of how much water you see and how grand and open the home is inside.\u201d<\/p>\n
