The driver was subsequently issued a notice to appear for unlawful speed (66 mph in a 35 mph zone).<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 On Dec. 28, a traffic stop was initiated after an officer viewed a vehicle come to a complete stop, then do a burnout and doughnut while accelerating away at a high rate of speed. The driver was subsequently issued a notice to appear for reckless driving.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 On Jan. 1, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle for excessive speed. The driver was subsequently issued a notice to appear for unlawful speed (70 mph in a 30 mph zone).<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 On Jan. 1, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle for excessive speed while passing in a no-passing zone. It is available for Android and iOS devices in the Google Play and Apple App stores.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 When leaving Sanibel, motorists are encouraged to travel east on Periwinkle Way.
