Now, the city&#8217;s Committee of the Whole will meet on Tuesday morning to discuss the project&#8217;s next steps.   &#8220;It was a very nice yacht club, and we stopped in to visit the restroom or so. The pool was very nice, and tennis courts are very nice,&#8221; said Cape Coral resident Rick Eschenbrenner.    The city says it will finish the design of the new yacht club by next month.  We told you before that the city voted last month to label the development a &#8220;Qualifying project.&#8221; This is allowing the city to work with private companies for the rebuild. Now, City Council member Jennifer Nelson told Gulf Coast News leaders are exploring a public-private partnership. The City Council is requesting a proposal for a developer or company to help manage parts of the project, including the parking garage, the pool and the community center.  &#8220;I think it&#8217;s a great idea. If they can get a developer and save us taxpayers the money, gosh, go for it. Get a few developers in case one backs out,&#8221; said Cape Coral resident Lori McKenzie.  The Cape Coral Committee of the Whole&#8217;s meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. This is just an informative meeting, and nothing will be decided.
