{"id":117789,"date":"2026-01-14T14:00:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/117789\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T14:00:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:00:12","slug":"protesters-greet-job-seekers-at-florida-cpb-job-fair-y100-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/117789\/","title":{"rendered":"Protesters Greet Job Seekers at Florida CPB Job Fair | Y100.7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(St. Petersburg, FL) &#8212; A Customs and Border Protection hiring event in Florida drew protester in addition to job seekers Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>Protesters gathered in St. Petersburg outside of a hotel where CBP officials were meeting with those interested in working for the agency.  <\/p>\n<p>Demonstrators voiced concerns chanting into megaphones and displayed signs as drivers entered and exited the Hilton Carillon.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies and police officers were on hand to keep the peace, and no violence was reported.  <\/p>\n<p>Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said during a press conference, \u201cWe\u2019re very respectful of everybody\u2019s right to protest and verbalize and vocalize.
