Westland Hialeah<\/a> had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-15 to make it eight. They were beaten by the North Miami Pioneers<\/a> 101-71. On the bright side, the 71- point performance marked the Wildcats’ highest-scoring game to date.<\/p>\n As for North Miami, their win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 4, 2025 (when they won 69-39).<\/p>\n North Miami was led to victory by Calando Joseph<\/a> and Julius Ochoa<\/a>. Joseph went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc to rack up 29 points and seven boards, while Ochoa shot 64% from the field en route to 20 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Joseph a new career-high in shooting accuracy (56%). Another player making a difference was Messy Beilzaire<\/a>, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.<\/p>\n Westland Hialeah will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They’ll take on Forges Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for North Miami, they will head out to challenge Hialeah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Pioneers their first taste of in-conference action this season.<\/p>\n
