The website says it tracks disruptions for \u201cinternet, social media, web hosting platforms, banks, games, entertainment, and more\u201d around the globe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The site shows that around 180,000 people have reported an outage on the site as of 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Users report getting an \u201cSOS\u201d message on their phone with the inability to make or receive phone calls. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">According to Downdetector, most reported locations reporting outages included New York City, Miami, Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, Houston and Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Verizon posted the following message on its <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VerizonNews\/status\/2011500483072954495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VerizonNews\/status\/2011500483072954495\">X account<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cWe are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly. We understand how important reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Verizon engineering teams are continuing to address today&#8217;s service interruptions. Our teams remain fully deployed and are focused on the issue.
