PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 Two people were arrested on the second day of ICE and immigration enforcement protests in St. Petersburg, law enforcement officials said.<\/p>\n<p>St. Petersburg Police (SPPD) said it arrested Thanecha Anderson, 38, on trespassing and marijuana possession charges.<\/p>\n<p>Pinellas County Sheriff&#8217;s Office (PCSO) said it also arrested Nicholas Molin, 26, for resisting an officer without violence and trespassing.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay28.com\/news\/region-hillsborough\/protests-grow-across-tampa-bay-over-ice-violence-and-federal-agency-recruitment-events\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">On Tuesday and Wednesday<\/a>, protesters gathered outside the Hilton Carillon Park at 950 Lake Carillon Drive to condemn a recruitment event for U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Protests have also taken place around the USF campus in Tampa.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/ANNETTE.GUTIERREZ.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Family mourns Brandon High School student killed by train<\/p>\n<p>Jewell McMillan, Jamar&#8217;s mother, tells Tampa Bay 28 reporter Annette Gutierrez she didn&#8217;t realize Wednesday night would be the last time she&#8217;d see her son alive<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;m really heartbroken&#8217;: Family mourns Brandon High School student killed by train<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ST.
